The Torrevieja City Council leads the ranking of execution for the provision of the care service to dependency

The Councilor for Social Welfare, Inmaculada Montesinos, informs that the Torrevieja City Hall Dependency Service is currently among the best positions in the ranking of municipalities in the Valencian Community, being close to the qualification of 'excellence' in dependency care .

Said ranking, prepared by the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies, is carried out taking into account the following parameters: that the municipal services register and record the applications in the corresponding application in the same month that they have been presented; that the social reports and assessments are prepared within six months following the submission of the application, as established by the regulations, and that they have a percentage of execution greater than 95%.

Among the municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants in our Community , the towns of Torrevieja and Orihuela in Alicante, and Castellón de la Plana lead the list of execution , all of them with more than 94% execution.

Inmaculada Montesinos assures that currently the requests to this Dependency Care Service are being resolved within the established legal term. The mayor indicates that one aspect to consider in improving this municipal service was its transfer to the peripheral City Council of La Mata, a decision taken by the former councilor for Social Welfare, Tomás Ballester.

This transfer has meant greater visibility and accessibility, a closer and more direct contact with users, identifying them in a more rapid way the reference professionals, the requests, documentation, the technical orientations of resources; In short, a greater streamlining of procedures.

Such an effort means that today, the Torrevieja City Council leads the list of execution among municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants.
