The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Ricardo Recuero, have attended the reception ceremony for the facilities of the new CEIP Number 14, which will be launched next September, coinciding with the beginning of the 2023 school year. /2024.

The mayor has reported that the Infant and Primary school number 14 was created to be able to provide coverage for the large number of unforeseen students who have been arriving in the city over the last two years. In addition, this school with prefabricated classrooms is the germ of the future school that will be built through the Edificant Plan, in the Villa Amalia area.

This new prefabricated center has a double line profile (6 classrooms for early childhood education and 12 for primary), being able to accommodate a total of 486 students, also having all the necessary equipment for its operation, including a school canteen and two classrooms for 2-year-old students. In the next few days the furnishing of the school will begin to be in perfect condition before the start of the next course.

Eduardo Dolón has indicated that the Torrevieja City Council is currently bidding for the project for the conditioning of the plot where the new educational center of the city will be located.

Finally, the mayor has ensured that the Torrevejense town hall continues to bet on the creation and investment in educational infrastructures that improve the quality of our schools and that, at the same time, can cover the real needs of a city in constant growth and expansion.
