The Parque de las Naciones hosts the San Emigdio Festivities from August 3 to 6

The Parque de las Naciones will be the scene of the program of events that will take place from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 August, on the occasion of the festivities in honor of San Emigdio, co-patron of Torrevieja and protector against earthquakes.

The Department of Festivals of the Torrevieja City Council has organized a program that will begin on August 3 with the inauguration of the "Barraca Popular" at 9:00 p.m., followed by a great raffle of gifts and the performance of a music orchestra.

On Friday, August 4, the events will also begin at 9:00 p.m., with a great raffle of gifts and a musical performance by a DJ, while on Saturday, August 5, at 7:00 p.m., there will be a children's entertainment event and a free snack will be offered to all attending children. Then, at 9:00 p.m., there will be a new raffle for gifts and a musical performance starting at 10:30 p.m.

Already on Sunday, August 6, at 8:00 p.m., in the Hermitage of San Emigdio, located inside the Parque de las Naciones and also around it, a Eucharist will be celebrated in honor of the co-patron of Torrevieja, followed by a solemn procession with the image of the saint accompanied by the band of the Unión Musical Torrevejense (UMT). The tour will run through San Policarpo street, Bilbao, Santísima Trinidad, Los Molinos, Plaza del Calvario, San Emigdio street, José Hurtado Romero "El Felisia" and, again, to San Policarpo street to return to the Hermitage of the Parque de las Naciones. After the procession, a fireworks display will be set off with which these popular festivities will end.
