The deadline for submitting Terrorífico shorts to participate in the sixth edition of the "Torrerífico" festival is open

The Youth Department of the Torrevieja City Council informs that since last Friday, September 15 and until October 15, the submission period for horror film shorts for the “Torrerífico” festival, organized jointly by the Department, is open. of Youth, the University Headquarters of the UA in Torrevieja and the La Comarca Youth Association.

El Torrerífico 2023, in its sixth edition, will be held on Saturday, October 28, from 5:00 p.m. at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center. The short films in competition must have a minimum duration of 1 minute and a maximum of 20 minutes, including the credits.

The contest has three prizes:

• Jury award for best short film, worth €1,000
• Second prize of the jury, worth €500
• Public Prize, worth €200

In the last edition of the Torrerífico in 2022, the record for the presentation of short films in competition was broken, with 17 short films in total, with directors from all over Spain, with the award for best short film being the short film “Tritop”, directed by María Antonia Martínez Tena.
