On Monday morning, Ricardo Recuero, Councilor for Education, accompanied by Miriam Hurtado Pomares, professor of the Degree in Occupational Therapy at the UMH; Asunción Agulló Torres, Director of the Projection and Institutional Relations Area of the UMH; Javier Sancho, director of the Business Area of the UMH Science Park, and Fernando Olabe, professor of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication and the Degree in Journalism, have presented the 2023-24 Training Offer of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) in Torrevieja.

COURSE: Training for non-professional caregivers of elderly and/or dependent people.

100 hour module

From October 2023 to March 2024

Face-to-face courses

Course topics:

- Mindfulness: 9 hours

- Digital divide and technological management: 10 hours

- Economic management, health management and leisure and free time management

- Physiotherapy: 9 hours

- Physical exercise

- Pelvic floor care

- Edema care

- Nutrition: 9 hours

- Nutritional care

- Occupational therapy: 33 hours

- Various Topics related to Personal Care

- Psychology: 27 hours

Requirements:

1. Over 18 years old

2. Registered in the city

3. Application by Headquarters or In-Person

4. Selection Criteria by strict order of registration

5. 30 seats

Schedule and Calendar

Days: Tuesday, Thursday afternoons from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
