This coming Saturday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m., the Remember Day (Poppy Day) commemorative event will be held in the Archpriest Parish of the Immaculate Conception, organized by the Royal British Legion in collaboration with the Torrevieja City Council, and that will be attended by the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the councilor for International Residents, Gitte Lund.

This solemn and patriotic act of the British colony residing in our town, which is celebrated annually on the 11th day of the 11th month, at 11:00 a.m., since 1920 in all the towns and cities of Great Britain, is organized a year by the veterans of the Royal British Legion, chaired by Pam Wilding, in which veterans of the Navy and the Air Force of Great Britain, as well as the Local Police and Protection of Torrevieja, also participate, as in previous editions.

The commemorative mass for this important anniversary will be officiated by the pastor of the Anglican Church in Torrevieja, Father Richard Seabrook, followed by an emotional floral offering in the Plaza de la Constitución in memory of those who fell in wars and terrorism.
