The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the councilor for Employment Promotion, Local Development and Entrepreneurship, Domingo Paredes, presented this morning the Young Entrepreneur Awards 2023 organized by the Torrevieja City Council, and which are promoted in their total to 12,000 euros in prizes.
The winners of this fourteenth edition have been:
-First prize: 7,000 euros and a trophy to Estefanía Alonso Gómez , for her innovative and original project to protect the snowy plover (an endangered species) through environmental education talks focused on students from Torrevieja schools.
-Second prize: 3,500 euros and a trophy to Alex Vilches Linero , owner of a company that orders through Amazon to save costs and improve product quality.
-Third prize: 1,500 euros and trophy to Roksolana Mryglid Oleynik, manager of a real estate consulting company for foreigners.
The specific objectives of the call for these awards are to promote entrepreneurship among Torrevieja society; promote the cooperative and social economy; promote the social recognition of entrepreneurs; promote a positive image of the businessman as a generator of wealth and employment; promote innovation as a competitive strategy of the company, as well as the creation of companies and services related to the tourism sector, local commerce, new technologies, conservation and rehabilitation of buildings, environment, sports, leisure and free time; reward people with entrepreneurial initiative who have started a new business; and provide support and backing to entrepreneurs who have started their business activity, so that it serves as a stimulus for the creation of new companies and new jobs in the economy of the municipality of Torrevieja.
