The IV National Amateur Theater Competition "Raúl Ferrández" will be held from March 19 to 23

The IV “Raúl Ferrández” National Amateur Theater Competition, which will be held between March 19 and 23 at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, at 8:30 p.m. (with free admission until capacity is reached), has announced the five groups and plays selected for this edition, with a total of 63 companies from all over Spain having presented.

This has been the highest participation in the history of the contest, with theater groups from 21 provinces across the national scene, such as Madrid, Segovia, Murcia, Huesca, Barcelona, Zamora, Badajoz, Almería, Tarragona, Burgos, Valencia. , Cádiz, Castellón, Ciudad Real, Alicante, Seville, Granada, La Rioja, Zaragoza, Cantabria and Toledo.

It will be on Wednesday, March 27, at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center where the jury's decision will be announced, as well as the reading of the World Theater Day manifesto by the professor, director and actor Antonio de Béjar, and the theatrical performance by the acclaimed and well-known company Imprebìs, with its comedy show “Today we are not premiering.”

The companies and works selected in this fourth edition are:

-On Tuesday, March 19, the company Asociación Juvenil Coral Ditirambo (Murcia) will perform with the show “El Eunuco”.

-On Wednesday, March 20 , the company Teatro enconstruction, from Elche, will perform with the show “La vigilia del Brush”.

-On Thursday, March 21 , the Emérita Theatrum company, from Mérida (Badajoz), will perform with the play “ Misterio Bu… Fo! (A Manchón of Jesus to the work of Darío)”.

-On Friday, March 22, the Asciación Cultural Acarrabal company from Alcalá del Río (Seville) will perform with the show “Farsantes”.

-On Saturday, March 23, the company La Garnacha Teatro, from Logroño (La Rioja) will perform with the play “Los Cuernos de Don Friolera”.
