Awarded the contract for the construction works of a sports court in the Plaza de Oriente

The councilor-secretary of the Local Government Board of the Torrevieja City Council, Federico Alarcón, reported this morning of the award of the simplified open procedure for the contracting of the construction works of the sports court in the Plaza de Oriente, to the company GRUEXMA SLU for a total amount of 162,393 euros.

This contract consists of the execution of a sports court on land designated by planning as a space for public domain and use with the aim of improving municipal sports infrastructure, especially in some free areas that lack small facilities for games for minors. .

The winning company commits in its offer to the extension of the work guarantee period of 30 months, as well as the reduction in the work execution period of 40 calendar days (so the 6-month period of the supporting report, 40 calendar days are subtracted)

DESCRIPTION OF THE SPORTS COURT:

The area affected by the project is located on the Plaza de Oriente in Torrevieja, where there is a parking lot in the basement, so that there is currently a garden on the basement floor with approximately one meter of topsoil planted with grass. and diverse trees, such as palm trees, olive trees, etc. This layer of topsoil will be eliminated and a raised slab will be created to place the sports court. Therefore, said track is not supported on natural soil, but on a 50-centimeter edge slab.

Likewise, a concrete perimeter wall will be made to delimit the court, the raised slab will be placed until it reaches the level of the square, with a sports pavement finish for outdoors in the playing area, an area of artificial grass, two benches, a trash can, two goals, a street lamp with four lights and finally the entire sports area will be fenced. The dimensions of the track will be 21 meters long and 7 meters wide.
