847 applications submitted to object to aid for the elderly

During the submission period, the City Council enabled a special service for people who were going to request them and obtain all the information and documentation at the San Pascual Senior Citizens' Home, No. 117, from Monday to Friday, until the last day of the deadline. .

The Councilor for Older People of the Torrevieja City Council, Inmaculada Montesinos, reports that once the deadline for submitting applications to opt for aid for the Elderly has ended (single payment aid to groups vulnerable due to age and with limited economic resources ), 847 people have requested it. Each beneficiary of the aid will be able to collect a maximum of 400 euros, counting a budget item that amounts to 534,092.50 euros. From now on, municipal technicians must review all applications submitted to verify that they meet all the necessary requirements to obtain it.

The purpose of this municipal call is to grant aid to older people and pensioners with incomes no higher than 1.5 of the Multiple Effects Public Income Indicator (IPREM), in order to cover the loss of purchasing power, as well as generate a higher quality of life for this group and complete the municipal policy of care for the Elderly group.

REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN THIS MUNICIPAL AID

  • Be a recipient of a pension for Retirement, Widowhood or Orphanhood, and over 60 years of age at the time of submitting the application; or be over 60 years of age, and be legally separated or divorced, receiving a compensatory pension, therefore lacking any other income of their own.
  • Appear in the Municipal Register of Inhabitants and be registered therein for a minimum of 2 uninterrupted years immediately prior to the date of submission of the application.
  • The applicant does not receive economic income greater than 1.5 times the Public Multiple Effect Income Indicator in force in the year 2023 (in 14 monthly payments). In addition to the income from your pension, other income from work, interest on movable capital or similar income that is compatible with the receipt of a pension will be counted. However, if the income or income is not greater than 1.5 times the IPREM (in 14 monthly payments) and you live with family members, the requirement will only be met when the sum of the annual income or income of all the members of your unit economic cohabitation are less than that amount. An economic unit of coexistence is understood to be when the applicant lives with other people united by marriage or by kinship ties of blood or adoption up to the second degree, that is, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren and siblings of the applicant.
  • Have a maximum of one habitual residence and a garage or premises. Both urban or rural real estate that is disposed of in full ownership and those that are disposed of in usufruct or bare ownership will be counted.
  • Be up to date with your obligations with the AEAT, Social Security, as well as with the tax obligations of this City Council.
  • Not be a debtor due to the resolution of the origin of reimbursement of subsidies. It will only be granted to one applicant within each single cohabitation economy.
