The Youth Councilor of the Torrevieja City Council, Domingo Paredes, reports that the Youth Department, through the CIAJ, has already opened the registration period to enroll in an Aquatic Lifesaving course on beaches, swimming pools and natural spaces with a total of 210 hours of theoretical-practical training.

Domino Paredes indicates that this course is subsidized by the Alicante Chamber of Commerce and the European Social Fund, thanks to the collaboration agreement with the Torrevieja City Council, within the Comprehensive Qualification and Employment Program (PICE) and completely free for unemployed young people in ages between 18 and 29, registered in the National Youth Guarantee System. The course will begin on Tuesday, May 7, and places are limited.

During it, students will obtain 3 qualifications in the same course, such as first aid, aquatic lifesaving (with practices in the pool and beaches) and training in the use of automatic and semi-automatic defibrillators. In addition, it includes a specific training module in social skills and employability to improve the incorporation of students into the labor market.

This course has a high percentage of employability as we are located in the coastal and tourist area, being a highly in-demand profile, especially in the summer season.
