One more year the IES Mediterráneo offers us a sample of the daily work shared between students and teachers of the Department of Plastic Arts.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m., in the room of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, the exhibition "Artists in process" opens, which this course has the subtitle "Identities", and focuses on this multifaceted concept, as subjective as it is elusive. Identity questions us about the meaning and relationship between terms such as border, limit, threshold, flow, discourse and otherness. Identity of subjects but also of objects whose role can be exchanged depending on the context and culture. The social fabric is built from identities.

However, what is identity? To what extent does it unite us or separate us? These and other questions are what the exhibition aims to raise through an exercise of collective, interdisciplinary and transcultural analysis.

The students of the Baccalaureate of Arts, Technical Drawing and Specific Classroom of the IES Mediterráneo present their view in the context of a city like ours, where the different cultures that coexist will be engendering, perhaps, the identity of Torrevieja.

The works will be exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center until May 5, 2024.
