41 Local Police officers join the Valencian Institute of Public Security and Emergencies (IVASPE) for the 61st Basic Training Course

The Councillor for Security and Emergencies of the Torrevieja City Council, Federico Alarcón, reports that last Friday, January 31, a total of 41 Local Police Officers joined the Valencian Institute of Public Security and Emergencies (IVASPE) for the completion of the 61st Basic Training Course (BS61).
This course is the second phase of the opposition to the consolidation and stabilisation processes carried out by the Torrevieja council. It lasts 700 hours and will presumably end next June, after which the officers will join the Torrevieja Local Police force for a two-month training period.
The opening ceremony of the course was attended by the Autonomous Secretary for Security and Emergencies and Director of the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response (AVSRE), Irene Rodríguez, as well as the Director of IVASPE, Sol Durá Ramos. The Local Police of Torrevieja was also represented by the Superintendent, Óscar Cartón, and by Inspectors Jacobo Rodríguez and José Manuel Mora.
