
The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, the Councilor for International Residents, Gitte Lund, and the Councilor for Culture, Antonio Quesada, attended the presentation of diplomas last Friday at the Palacio de la Música for the completion of the Spanish language courses for foreigners to acquire language proficiency. The courses began in January and lasted eight weeks. They were aimed at international residents registered in the city of Torrevieja.
The 90 students were divided into several groups of 15 people each, depending on their level, whether beginner or intermediate. Each group received a total of 32 hours of training, three days a week, two hours each day. The Department of International Residents received 196 applications, from which 90 students were selected.
Students who have participated in the courses come from countries such as Italy, France, Belgium, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, England, Sweden, Norway, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Slovakia, Estonia, France, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, and Norway, among others.
The main objective of these courses is to provide participants with the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, both in everyday and professional situations. The courses cover beginner and intermediate levels, providing a solid linguistic foundation.
The next call is scheduled for September 2025.
