This morning, the Quirónsalud Charity Race "5K Steps that Count" was presented to benefit AFECÁNCER, as part of the commemorative events for the 25th anniversary of Quirónsalud Torrevieja. Rosa Cañón, Councilor for Public Health and Head of Oncological Radiotherapy at Quirónsalud Torrevieja; Diana Box, Councilor for Sports; Victoria Meneses, President of AFECÁNCER; and Rosa Ruiz, Territorial Director of Communication and External Relations at Quirónsalud, participated in this event.

The race is supported by Torrevieja City Council, the Brotons Group, and the Torrevieja Athletics Club. The Quirónsalud "5K Steps that Count" Charity Race, benefiting AFECÁNCER, will take place in the Parque de las Naciones on May 25, 2025.

Starting today, Thursday, the race's landing page, www.pasosquecuentan.com, is now open for registration, with a limit of 600 participants. The page includes a real-time counter that shows the number of available spots as registrations are confirmed.

For the convenience of attendees, the event will have chemical restrooms, including one for people with reduced mobility. There will also be an area for the sale of drinks and food to ensure the best experience for participants and the public.
During the event, all the details of the race will be presented. The race's goal is to collect solidarity actions in support of those affected by cancer and highlight the work of AFECÁNCER in the region.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND ACTIVITIES

09:00h – Delivery of bib numbers for adults: Participants must collect their number
of the dorsal in the designated area. It is recommended to arrive early to avoid
crowds.

10:00 a.m. – Start of the 5K race: Start of the main race with a 5K route.
