The Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center will host a screening of this film tomorrow, which will be commented on by the director of the Municipal Theater School, Matías Antón.

The last Tuesday of every month is the date chosen by the Torrevieja University of Education (UNED) for the screening of film reviews that make up an instructive film series, with free admission. On this occasion, and to close out the school year, the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center will host, tomorrow, Tuesday, May 27, at 7:00 p.m., the film The Reader, directed in 2008 by Stephen Daldry and featuring a cast that includes names such as Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes.

Matías Antón, director of the Municipal Theater School, will moderate the panel discussion with the audience. Last October, Carolina Martínez opened the Cinecrítico by moderating the panel discussion on Charlie Wilson's War. Juan Andreu followed in November to present The Last Samurai. In 2025, Ramón Bascuñana presented Dead Poets Society, and Adú also received commentary from Mauricio Vogchumian.

Lola Morales spoke about Billy Elliot back in March, with a few surprises thrown in, and Marco Antonio Torres brought us a closer look at the reality and implications of hydraulic drilling, as addressed in the feature film Tierra Prometida. Finally, it's worth noting that the eight titles selected for the 2025/26 Cinecrítico Awards will be announced during the evening on Tuesday.
