This Wednesday morning, May 28th, the first day of CAMINA TORREVIEJA was held. This program, organized by the Departments of Public Health and Social Welfare of Torrevieja City Council, aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits, encourage regular physical activity, and foster social relationships in a relaxed environment accessible to all levels. Around 30 people participated in this first walk, which covered the Vista Alegre promenade.

This activity is especially aimed at people over 18 years of age who use healthcare and social services. The outings, organized by the Department of Social Welfare, are guided by technical staff who accompany the group, offering guidelines on health, hydration, mobility, and injury prevention. Participation in Camina Torrevieja is completely free, although pre-registration is required using the QR code on the poster or by calling the Department of Public Health or Social Services (tel. 607821039, 607314009).

In addition to today's event, other events will also take place on June 18, September 24, and October 22, from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. The meeting point for the start is at the entrance to the Department of Social Welfare, located at C/Torrevejenses Ausentes, 39.

The program is being implemented in collaboration with the municipality's health centers, which can refer patients they believe could benefit from the activity, as well as through the Social Welfare referral professional, if applicable, or the SASEM service.

With this proposal, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to Xarxa Salud and Community Health, with ideas promoted at the Intersectoral Roundtable meetings, supporting preventive actions that improve the quality of life of its citizens in a sustainable and participatory manner.
