The Torrevieja Parks and Gardens Department opens its social media channels to share its daily work with the public.

The Torrevieja Parks and Gardens Service, managed by Actúa-Grupo Hozono Global, has launched its new social media profiles with the aim of bringing the public closer to the daily work carried out to maintain and improve the municipality's green areas.
Starting today, Thursday, July 3, citizens will be able to follow the service's activity through the "jardinesdetorrevieja" profile on Facebook, Instagram, and X. These channels will regularly share photographs, videos, and information about the work carried out daily: from pruning, planting, and watering to special actions such as pest control campaigns, cleaning of garden areas, or reinforcements during heat waves.
In addition, content aimed at raising environmental awareness and sustainability education will be disseminated, including gardening tips, best practices for using green spaces, and news of interest to the public.
The Torrevieja City Council's Department of Parks and Gardens invites all citizens to join this direct communication channel through social media and actively participate in the collective commitment to a greener, more cared for, and more sustainable Torrevieja.
A SERVICE WITH TWICE THE PROFESSIONALS AND TRIPLE THE VEHICLES
Our municipality's new Green Area and Open Space Maintenance Service has doubled the number of professionals, increasing from 59 to 113. Furthermore, the number of vehicles and machinery has tripled, from 25 to 68 units. This fleet includes light, heavy, and special-class equipment, allowing for greater coverage, faster interventions, and an overall improvement in service.
The contract covers the maintenance of 362 public spaces, including parks, gardens, squares, sports areas, and playgrounds, totaling more than 2 million square meters. This represents an increase of 800,000 square meters compared to the previously maintained area of 1.2 million square meters.
The service not only includes the maintenance of existing green areas, but also improvement and adaptation actions that allow for the modernization of facilities, the renewal of plant species, and the adaptation of spaces to meet accessibility, safety, and sustainability criteria.
