The Torrevieja Audiovisual National Short Film Festival 2025 will be held on September 5 and 6.
The 10th edition of the TORREVIEJA AUDIOVISUAL 2025 National Short Film Festival will take place on the first weekend of September at the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre. This morning, the Councillor for Culture, Antonio Quesada, and the filmmaker Lidiana Rodríguez, presented this festival, which has established itself as one of the most highly regarded by Spanish filmmakers in its field and which each year closes the summer season in the city of Torrevieja with the best programming of an exclusive selection of the little gems of Spanish cinema from the last two years, with great reception and affection from the public.
This coming Friday, September 5th and Saturday, September 6th, at 9:00 PM, talented filmmakers will present their films to the audience in person before each screening. All films are screened in Spanish with English subtitles. Admission is free with an invitation and can be requested on the @TORREVIEJAAUDIOVISUAL social media channels, Instagram, and Facebook until August 1st. Tickets can be collected directly at the Theater box office without a reservation on the event days, September 5th and 6th, between 6:30 PM and 8:45 PM. This is a must-see event for Spanish cinema, which is celebrating its tenth edition this year.

María Lorenzo, a Goya-nominated animation director, member of the Spanish Film Academy, professor at the University of Valencia, and one of the best Spanish animation directors, also directs the first Spanish-language animation magazine, "Con A de ANIMACIÓN," born in Torrevieja in 1977.
CARLOS GÓMEZ-MIRA SAGRADO , animation director and recognized with his multi-award-winning and beloved short film “Vuela” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGVWLQzr8QM and who last year was the winner in the animation category at this festival with his short film “Carmen and the Wooden Spoon”.
PAOLA GARCÍA-SANJUÁN MACHADO , a director who led Startlite's audiovisual department for a decade and is currently in charge of the documentary series "Showbusiness."
The program is open to ages 12 and up on Friday, September 5th, and ages 10 and up on Saturday, September 6th. This is an annual event for the whole family, friends, and film lovers that you can't miss.
