The activities planned for European Mobility Week have been presented.
This morning, Torrevieja City Council presented the activities planned for European Mobility Week 2025, which will be held from September 16 to 22. Under the slogan "Mobility for All," the city is proposing a series of activities to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable mobility and road safety.
The press conference was attended by the Councilor for Security, Federico Alarcón; the Security and Emergency Coordinator, Adrián Ballester; the Chief Superintendent of the Local Police, Óscar Cartón; and the Director General of the Local Police, Alejandro Morer , who emphasized the importance of citizen participation in these events.
Tuesday 16th to Friday 19th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM:
Open doors at the Children's Traffic Park
Children will be able to enjoy educational and recreational activities on road safety at the Torrevieja Local Police facilities.
Saturday the 20th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.:
Mobility Day Celebration in La Mata
At Plaza Encarnación Puchol, attendees can participate in sustainable mobility workshops, explore a fun traffic park, and enjoy various educational and entertainment activities.
Sunday 21st, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.:
Grand Celebration of Mobility Day
A full day of awareness and fun will take place on Paseo Vistalegre. There will be activities on sustainable mobility, a traffic park, a bike circuit, games with mobility devices, and much more. Citizens are invited to bring their bicycles, scooters, and skateboards to actively participate.
Sunday 21st, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM:
Car-Free Day
Torrevieja's most central streets will be free of traffic, offering a safe and pleasant space for strolling, playing, and enjoying the city. In addition, the Department of Security and Emergencies will raffle off several bicycles among those attending the activities.
Torrevieja City Council, through its Department of Security and Emergencies, is urging all citizens to participate in the planned activities and promote sustainable mobility in the city.
