Torrevieja City Council opens tomorrow the application period for birth and adoption grants in 2024.

More than 600 Torrevieja families will be able to benefit from this grant, endowed with 300,000 euros and promoted by the City Council to support those who have had or adopted children during 2024.

Torrevieja City Council, through the Department of Social Welfare, will open tomorrow, Tuesday, October 28, the application period for financial aid for the birth and/or adoption of children corresponding to the 2025 financial year, intended for families who have had or adopted children during the year 2024. The application period will remain open for 30 business days , starting the day after the publication of the call, that is, starting tomorrow, Tuesday.

These municipal grants, published today in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP), aim to promote birth rates, support work-life balance, and contribute to the well-being of Torrevieja families, reinforcing the government's commitment to social and family support policies.

The City Council has allocated a total of 300,000 euros , with an individual amount of 450 euros for each child born or adopted. In the case of multiple births, assistance may be requested for each child. It is estimated that more than 600 families in the municipality will benefit from this measure.

The application process can preferably be carried out through the Torrevieja City Council's Electronic Office (torrevieja.sedelectronica.es), within the Social Welfare section, where a specific procedure will be enabled. It can also be submitted at any of the SAIC (Citizen Information and Support Service) offices or through the procedures set out in Article 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations .

Among the requirements established to qualify for aid are:

-Be registered in Torrevieja for at least three uninterrupted years.

-That the newborn or adopted minor is registered for the first time at the beneficiary's address.

- Have legal residence in Spain and be of legal age or an emancipated minor.

Not be subject to the causes of prohibition to receive subsidies according to Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies.

The granting process will be carried out on a direct grant basis, motivated by reasons of social interest , until the budgetary allocation is exhausted . Applications will be processed individually and in the order in which they are received.

With this call, Torrevieja City Council reaffirms its commitment to social policies and direct support for families, allocating its own resources to contribute to the city's well-being and development.
