The Councillor for NGOs and Citizen Participation, Trudy Páez, together with the presidents of the associations ALPE, APANEE, AMFA, ASIMEPP, AFA and ADIEM, presented this morning the program for the International Week of Persons with Disabilities, which will be held in Torrevieja from November 28 to December 4.

This week's activities are once again framed by the #SUPERCAPACES (Super Capable) slogan, aiming to raise awareness of functional diversity, promote inclusion, and recognize the fundamental role that people with disabilities play in our society. The goal is for Torrevieja to move towards a more accessible, equitable, and inclusive city.

For 2025, a calendar has been developed that includes spaces for dialogue through personal testimonies, awareness-raising activities in schools, inclusive activities, and other complementary initiatives. All of these have been developed in coordination with collaborating associations and organizations, to whom we extend our sincere gratitude for their ongoing commitment: ALPE, APANEE, AMFA, ASIMEPP, AFA, and ADIEM.

The main event will be the Disability Gala 2025, which will take place on Thursday, December 4, at 8:00 p.m., at the Municipal Theater, and will feature the intervention of the actor, lecturer, philologist, writer and journalist Jesús Vidal, winner of the Goya Award for Best New Actor in 2019 for his role in the film Campeones .
