Next Friday, December 12th, the 23rd edition of "Carols in the square" Christmas carols by International Residents will be held in the Plaza de la Constitución.

This coming Friday, December 12th, starting at 5:30 pm, hundreds of Torrevieja residents of various nationalities will gather for the twenty-third edition of the International Christmas Carol Concert, called Carols in the Square , organized by the Department of International Residents of the Torrevieja City Council since 2002. This year the event will be presented by Torrevieja artist Shani Ormiston, who will delight us with her songs.

The concert will be held on the stage in Plaza de la Constitución and, new this year, the following artists will perform:

- AVE MARIA CHOIR OF THE POLISH CHAPLAINCY OF TORREVIEJA (POLAND)

- MELODY MAKERS SINGING GROUP CHOIR (UK)

- VOCAL GROUP OF THE CULTURAL ASSOCIATION “GET CLOSER TO ROMANIA”, “CHINDIA” AND THE CHILDREN OF THE ROMANIAN LANGUAGE, CULTURE AND CIVILIZATION COURSE OF TORREVIEJA (ROMANIA)

- VOICES OF THE NORTH AND NORDIC CHOIR (SWEDEN AND NORWAY)

- UANIMA CHOIR (UKRAINE)

- WHITE AND GREEN CHOIR OF THE RAFAEL ALBERTI HOUSE OF ANDALUSIA (SPAIN)

The traditional mulled wine, typical during the Christmas season, will be offered by the NGO Nueva Fraternidad.

The concert will be attended by the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Festivals of the City Council, Rosario Martínez, the Councillor for International Residents, Gitte Lund Thomsen, the Councillor for Coexistence and Integration, Oscar Urtasun North, as well as a large part of the Government team.

Once again, the Plaza de la Constitución is expected to be too small to accommodate hundreds of international residents, many of them dressed in the typical Santa Claus costume, who every year around this time participate in this original Carols in the Square, in which they also sing typical songs from their countries of origin.
