The Municipal Institute of Culture "Joaquin Chapaprieta" officially announces the start of the registration period for the XXVIII Book Fair

This upcoming edition is notable for the presence of two top-level figures in the national literary scene, both winners of the prestigious Planeta Prize: Javier Sierra (Godfather of the Fair) and Paloma Sánchez Garnica

The Joaquín Chapaprieta Municipal Institute of Culture officially announces the start of registration for the 28th Torrevieja Book Fair. This event, now firmly established as an essential cultural highlight in the city, will take place between March 28 and April 6, 2026, in the iconic Paseo Vistalegre.

CALL TO PROFESSIONALS AND AUTHORS

The organization invites publishers, bookstores, associations and writers to be part of this great literary event.

Bookstores: The deadline for submitting applications is February 22nd.

Writers: As in previous editions, a specific form has been made available for authors who wish to organize book signings, presentations, or dramatic readings. The form will be available from February 13th to March 8th.

Registration: The entire process must be carried out electronically through the Electronic Headquarters of the Municipal Institute of Culture.

A LUXURIOUS LINEUP: JAVIER SIERRA AND PALOMA SÁNCHEZ GARNICA

The 28th edition is notable for the presence of two top-level figures in the national literary scene, both winners of the prestigious Planeta Prize:

Javier Sierra (Godfather of the Fair): The author will inaugurate the 28th Torrevieja Book Fair on Saturday, March 28, at 12:30 p.m., with the traditional walk through the fairgrounds. Afterwards, at the Torrevieja Casino, he will give a presentation and sign copies of his latest work, "The Master Plan." It is worth noting that Sierra was a finalist for the 3rd Torrevieja City Novel Prize in 2004 with his novel "The Secret Supper."

Paloma Sánchez Garnica: On Saturday, April 4th, the winner of the 2024 Planeta Prize will visit the book fair. At 12:30 pm, in the halls of the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, the author will share details about her novels and participate in a book signing with her readers.
