The City Council approves the tender for the supply of furniture and equipment in various municipal offices for approximately €593,000
The Local Governing Board of the Torrevieja City Council has approved the contract file for the supply of furniture and equipment intended for various municipal offices, an action that has a base tender budget of 592,832.75 euros (VAT included).
This contract aims to provide office furniture and technological equipment to different municipal services, addressing both the renewal of items that are already amortized or out of use and the need to equip new facilities that will soon be incorporated into municipal activity.
The supply is divided into two separate lots. The first, intended for furniture in various municipal offices, has a budget of 505,574.81 euros, while the second, focused on visual and computer equipment for the university headquarters, has a budget of 87,257.94 euros.
Among the municipal spaces that will benefit from this project are the Senior Citizens' Center on Pedro Lorca Street, the Carmen Jalón Municipal Public Library, the Municipal Animal Shelter, and other areas. The project also includes furnishing the floors designated for university use in the building located on Canónigo Torres Street.
The investment will improve working conditions for public employees and optimize citizen services in various municipal departments, as well as facilitate the commissioning of new facilities that are in the final stages of completion or about to open.
The maximum period foreseen for the supply, delivery and assembly of the furniture once the contract is formalized will be four months, thus guaranteeing the rapid commissioning of the equipment necessary for the operation of the municipal premises.
Furthermore, the contract includes award criteria that will assess not only the price, but also aspects such as the quality of the finishes, the design of the products and the after-sales service, with the aim of ensuring an optimal relationship between quality and cost for the administration.
With this action, the City Council continues to advance in the modernization of its facilities and in the improvement of the resources allocated to the provision of public services, adapting the municipal premises to the new organizational and functional needs.
