The Parks and Gardens Department of Torrevieja City Council has carried out an improvement project in the El Limonar area, specifically in the green area located next to Rafael Antón Street, parallel to the CV-905, with the aim of continuing to advance in the adaptation and enhancement of the urban spaces of the municipality.

Over the past few days, teams have been planting nearly 200 mulberry trees, a species particularly well-suited to urban environments due to its high resistance to weather conditions, rapid growth, and ability to create ample shade. This initiative will improve the thermal comfort of the area, increase the tree canopy, and foster the creation of more pleasant and livable spaces for residents.

Councilwoman Concha Sala, who coordinated the project, points out that it has been completed with the renewal of street furniture by replacing a total of 12 benches, improving user service, accessibility and the functionality of this space.

These actions are part of ongoing interventions in different parts of the city with the aim of providing more cared for, sustainable environments adapted to the needs of the citizens.

The council reminds everyone of the importance of respecting both the new plantings and the street furniture, contributing to their proper maintenance and conservation.

These types of interventions help to create a greener, more accessible and pleasant city, reinforcing the quality of life in its common spaces.
