Youth presents its spring youth agenda for the second quarter of 2026
The Councillor for Youth, Domingo Paredes, announces that the Youth Department's spring youth agenda for the second quarter of 2026 is now available. A total of 12 activities and events make up the youth program for the months of April, May and June.
The councilor has reported that, coinciding with spring, two free environmental awareness hiking routes have been organized for young people in the La Mata and Torrevieja lagoons natural park and another in the water mill park.
The training activities for the term include an interesting AI course using Gemini and Copilot, highly sought after by young people, to learn how to work with two of the most popular applications on the market. Also included is an interesting training program for young people registered in the National Youth Guarantee system, offering a professional lifeguard certificate for aquatic facilities—a highly sought-after skill in our area for the summer season with good job prospects. In addition, a preparation course for the B1 level English certification exam is offered. Furthermore, a series of emotional well-being and mental health workshops called “Get Out of Your Mind” will be held in secondary schools in Torrevieja, organized by the Youth Department.
For the last weekend of June, June 27th and 28th, a trip to Warner Park in Madrid is being organized, with very limited places for young people from the city at an unbeatable price of €99 with everything included: transport, accommodation and breakfast and two days of entry to the theme park.
In addition, the collaboration continues with role-playing activities, board games and video games with the Torrevieja youth association on weekends at the CIAJ, English conversations with British volunteers and the call for entries for the Alicante Provincial Council's "Top Creation" Youth Awards
Also included are previews of the new Big Sound festival, which will be held in Torrevieja in the summer on July 25 and 26 with great national and international artists such as Myke Towers, María Becerra, Ana Mena, Omar Montes, Juan Magán or Leire Martínez, among others, and of the LOW Festival, of Indie music on August 1 and 2, with artists such as Dani Fernández, Love of Lesbian and Fangoria, among others.
