The 3MAP music association announces the 5th edition of the "Ricardo Lafuente Scholarships for the Development of Musical Talent"

The 3MAP Music Association has officially presented the call for applications for the 5th edition of the “Ricardo Lafuente Musical Talent Development Scholarships” for the 2026/2027 academic year, an initiative that continues to consolidate itself as one of the most important projects supporting musical education in the city of Torrevieja.

The event is once again supported by the Torrevieja City Council, the "La Caixa" Foundation, AGAMED, Cultura Torrevieja and Toloal Ingeniería de Seguridad, entities committed to promoting culture and musical training among young people.

The main objective of these scholarships is to facilitate access for students of Elementary Education at the Francisco Casanovas Professional Music Conservatory to the teaching materials necessary for the development of their musical studies, thus promoting equal opportunities and support for families.

The program will continue to develop the “Ricardo Lafuente Book Bank”, through which the material corresponding to the subject of Musical Language will be delivered free of charge, on loan, for the academic year 2026/2027.

In addition, the 3MAP Music Association will incorporate an Academic Excellence Scholarship program designed to recognize the effort, commitment and performance of Elementary Education students.

In total, five scholarships will be awarded for each academic year of Elementary Education —first, second, third and fourth— consisting of the full payment of the Conservatory's tuition for the 2026/2027 academic year.

A TOTAL OF 281 MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS DURING THE PREVIOUS FOUR EDITIONS

Since its launch, this initiative has awarded a total of 281 scholarships, establishing itself as a high-impact educational project in Torrevieja, with direct support for numerous families and the development of local musical talent.

The 3MAP Musical Association emphasizes that this project keeps alive the legacy of Maestro Ricardo Lafuente, promoting values such as effort, perseverance, musical culture and support for new generations of musicians from Torrevieja.

Furthermore, the entity emphasizes the important social and sustainable component of the Book Bank, based on the responsible reuse of educational material and on collaboration between families and the educational community.

The application documents and guidelines can be collected from the Secretariat of the Francisco Casanovas Professional Music Conservatory in Torrevieja starting June 1st. The application period will remain open until July 30th.
