Torrevieja brings together for the first time the local police chiefs from across the province of Alicante
Mayor Eduardo Dolón will inaugurate the General Assembly of the Provincial Association of Local Police Chiefs tomorrow, Friday, at 10:30 a.m. at the CdT in Torrevieja. The assembly will include recognition of retired officers and a conference on the relationship between the Police and the press.
Tomorrow, Friday, June 19, starting at 10:30 a.m., the Torrevieja Tourism Center (CdT) will host, for the first time, the Ordinary General Assembly of the Association of Local Police Chiefs of the Province of Alicante, a highly relevant event for the coordination and exchange of experiences among the top officials of the Local Police forces of the province.
The event will be opened by the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and will be attended by the director general of Citizen Security of the Valencian Government, Erich Vanacloig; the councilor for Security and Emergencies, Federico Alarcón; the director general of Police, Alejandro Morer; and the chief of the Torrevieja Local Police, Óscar Cartón, who will act as host of this important professional meeting.
The selection of Torrevieja as the venue for this Assembly represents a recognition of the work carried out by the Local Police of the municipality, reinforcing the role of the city as a meeting point for the analysis, training and coordination of public safety policies.
During the Assembly, five new members of the Provincial Association of Local Police Chiefs will be welcomed, while several recently retired police officers will be honored in recognition of their professional career and their commitment to security and public service.
RELATIONS BETWEEN LOCAL POLICE AND THE PRESS
Following the Assembly, a conference will be given by the deputy director of the Diario Información, Fernando Ramón Pascual, entitled “Relations between the Local Police and the Press”.
The presentation will address the importance of fluid and transparent communication between police forces and the media, a fundamental tool to bring police work closer to the public and strengthen public trust in institutions.
