The inspection confirmed that the animal was in good health, with water, food and a shaded area, and preventive monitoring and safety measures were also implemented.

The Environmental Police of the Torrevieja City Council, in coordination with the Department of Animal Protection, intervened immediately after receiving a citizen's report about the presence of a dog on a plot of land located between Ciudad de Barcelona and Diego Ramírez streets, activating the municipal protocol to check the animal's condition and ensure its well-being.

Given the high temperatures recorded in recent days, officers went to the location to check on the dog's condition. Once at the vacant lot, located between Ciudad de Barcelona and Diego Ramírez streets, the patrol contacted the people who had reported the incident, who provided the owner's phone number.

After an initial visual inspection from outside the property, officers located the dog near a shed at the back of the enclosure. They also observed a significant accumulation of dry weeds on the lot, which was also addressed.

The owner came to the location after being requested by the Environmental Police and allowed access to the interior of the plot to carry out a complete inspection of the animal's conditions.

The dog was in good health and had access to water, food, and a shady area.

During the inspection, the officers verified that the dog had clean water, a covered area to take shelter from the sun, and that it had already eaten the food provided by its owner.

Likewise, it was found that the animal was in good nutritional condition, exhibited calm behavior, and showed no signs of illness, injuries, or any other indication compatible with a situation of abandonment or mistreatment.

After checking the animal's condition, the owner expressed her desire to permanently move it to her home in order to avoid future incidents related to high temperatures.

Furthermore, the Environmental Police have summoned the owner to the Local Police Headquarters to verify the animal's regulatory documentation and compliance with the health and vaccination obligations established by current regulations.

At the same time, the property owner has been required to immediately clear the abundant dry vegetation on the plot, a preventative measure intended to minimize the risk of fires and prevent the proliferation of pests. Furthermore, officers will monitor the situation to ensure the dog remains in suitable conditions in its new environment.
