Torrevieja celebrates the San Emigdio festivities with four days of music, children's activities and tradition

The program will take place from July 30 to August 2 in the Parque de las Naciones and will include musical performances, open-air dances, raffles, a children's afternoon, the Eucharist, the procession and the traditional fireworks display

The Councillor for Festivals of the Torrevieja City Council, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, reports that the Parque de las Naciones will host, from Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2, the San Emigdio 2026 Festival, with a complete program aimed at all audiences that will combine music, community, children's activities and the traditional religious acts in honor of the saint.

The festival tent will remain open for all four days. This year, the proceeds from the bar will be donated to the brotherhoods of the Holy Face and Veronica, Our Lady of Sorrows, and the Crucified Christ and Mary Most Holy of Silence.

THURSDAY, JULY 30

The festivities will begin at 9:00 PM with the opening of the fairground. At 10:00 PM there will be a grand prize raffle, and starting at 11:30 PM, there will be a musical performance.

FRIDAY, JULY 31

The fairground will reopen at 9:00 PM. An hour later, at 10:00 PM, another grand prize draw will take place, including a special raffle to benefit the three brotherhoods. The program continues at 11:30 PM with a pop tribute from “Femme Flow,” the queens of urban pop.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 1

Saturday will be dedicated to families. At 7:00 p.m., the fairground will open, kicking off a children's afternoon with free snacks and a performance for the little ones. At 10:00 p.m., the grand prize raffle will take place, along with a special raffle to benefit the three brotherhoods. The evening will conclude at 11:30 p.m. with a lively open-air dance featuring the band "Serendipity," who will perform a repertoire of musical hits from all eras.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 2

The final day of the festivities will be dedicated to religious services in honor of Saint Emigdio. At 8:00 p.m., Mass will be celebrated in the Parque de las Naciones (Park of Nations). Following the Mass, the traditional procession will take place to the Plaza del Calvario (Calvary Square) and then return to the hermitage. The 2026 Saint Emigdio Festival will conclude with the traditional fireworks display.
