Starting tomorrow, September 15, there will be regulated and limited parking on Ramón Gallud street to encourage vehicle turnover.

The Local Police Councillor of Torrevieja City Council, Federico Alarcón, has announced that starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15, a new parking regulation will be in effect on Ramón Gallud Street, one of the main commercial and service roads in the city centre.

The new measure establishes that, on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., the maximum parking time will be two hours. Outside of these hours, from 8:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. the following day, parking will be permitted without this time limit. Similarly, the two-hour restriction will not apply on weekends or holidays.

Federico Alarcón has indicated that this modification aims to organize parking in Ramón Gallud and facilitate a greater turnover of vehicles during peak hours, ensuring that a greater number of citizens can have parking spaces to shop, run errands, visit commercial establishments or access the different services available in the city center.

The regulations that will begin tomorrow are established as follows:

-Weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.: parking allowed for a maximum of two hours.

-From 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM: parking allowed, without the two-hour limit.

-Non-working days: parking allowed without the aforementioned time limitation.

The City Council has placed the corresponding vertical signage on Ramón Gallud street, which expressly informs of the parking times and conditions so that drivers can clearly identify the new regulations.

The local councilor for the police has asked users of this road to pay special attention to the new traffic signs and respect the maximum time allowed during the regulated period. Federico Alarcón also explained that the new system is in response to the need to adapt parking conditions on Ramón Gallud to the high volume of traffic this road experiences for much of the day.

Limiting parking to two hours during working hours will prevent certain vehicles from occupying available spaces throughout the day and will allow these spaces to be used successively by different users.
