Torrevieja hosts six major cultural and social events this week, attracting more than 3,000 spectators.

Torrevieja is experiencing a week of intense cultural, social and institutional activity with six major events that will bring together more than 3,000 spectators in two of the city's main cultural spaces: the Municipal Theatre and the International Auditorium.

A diverse program that combines major shows, family activities, institutional events and business meetings, consolidating both venues as benchmark spaces for holding events of different kinds.

The activity began yesterday, Tuesday, September 29, at the International Auditorium with the celebration of the awards ceremony for the XXXI Awards of the Alicante Family Business Association (AEFA), which brought together around 400 people.

The event recognized the trajectory and contribution to the economic and social fabric of the province of the companies Bonnysa, Congelados Frimar and Tabisam, in addition to distinguishing Vicente Berbegal with the Manuel Peláez Award and Coral Erum with the Young Businesswoman Award.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PERSONS GALA

The program will continue on Thursday, October 1, at 6:00 p.m., with the celebration at the Municipal Theatre of the International Day of Older Persons Gala, organized by the Department of Older People of the Torrevieja City Council.

During the event, the Photography Contest prizes will be awarded, recognizing the participating works and highlighting the creativity and active participation of the city's senior citizens. Admission to the gala is free by invitation only.

LOCAL POLICE CELEBRATE THE HOLY GUARDIAN ANGELS

On Friday, October 2nd, at 8:00 PM, the International Auditorium will host the traditional gala of the Torrevieja Local Police in celebration of the feast day of the Guardian Angels, patrons of the force. Prior to the gala, a Mass will be held at the Parish of the Immaculate Conception in remembrance of fallen officers.

Later, in the International Auditorium, the ceremony will take place to present awards and distinctions to members of the Local Police, highlighting their career, dedication and service to the citizens.

“PIRATES IN TABARCA” SOLES OUT

On Saturday, October 3, the activity will begin at 12:00 noon in the Municipal Theater with the family storytelling session "Pirates in Tabarca", which has received a great response from the public and has already sold out all its tickets.

The event invites children and adults alike to enjoy a pirate story set on the island of Tabarca, combining magic, humor, and adventure. The activity will also have a charitable component, with a voluntary donation to APANEE.

DANI MARTÍNEZ ARRIVES AT THE INTERNATIONAL AUDITORIUM WITH “REMEMBER”

The program continues at 8:00 p.m. in the International Auditorium with Dani Martínez and his show “Remember,” a 90-minute performance in which the comedian takes the audience on a unique journey from the year 2050 to the present day. Humor, improvisation, music, dance, technology, and audience participation combine in a show that evokes moments, customs, and memories from different generations.

The event will also include a play area with a maximum of 25 spaces and prior reservation required to facilitate family attendance. Children can participate in games, workshops, and various activities accompanied by trained staff while the show takes place.

THE ALL-FEMININE MARIACHI INNOVACIÓN MEXICANA, AT THE MUNICIPAL THEATER

Also on Saturday, at 8:00 p.m., the Municipal Theater will host the Mariachi Femenil Innovación Mexicana, a group from Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, currently made up of 11 musicians and which has managed to project internationally a renewed proposal of traditional Mexican music.

The group, founded by Mayra Casillas and Margarita Gómez, has toured Mexico, Spain, the United States, and Guatemala. Highlights of their career include their version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," which garnered significant attention on social media, and their participation in the 2024 inauguration of Mexico's first female president.

Tickets for Dani Martínez: “Remember” are available from 25 euros and tickets for the Mariachi Femenil Innovación Mexicana concert, from 14 euros.

Tickets can be purchased at the Municipal Theatre box office and through Cultura Torrevieja. Meanwhile, Piratas en Tabarca is already sold out.

Torrevieja thus begins the month of October with a program that combines shows, family activities and celebrations closely linked to the social, cultural and institutional life of the city.
