This proposal represents a 12.89% decrease compared to the initial tender budget, set at 9,155,275.94 euros, excluding VAT, which represents an economic reduction of 1,427,939.08 euros, including VAT.

The proposed award comes after the evaluation of the ten bids admitted to the tendering procedure, in which Continental Obras y Mantenimiento, SL obtained the highest score, with 92.20 points out of 100, followed by GRULOP, with 91.5165 points, and ORTIZ, with 90.8043 points.

A PROJECT THAT INTEGRATES FOUR ACTIONS

The contract includes the execution of four projects that will allow the completion of the Habaneras Auditorium and the urban and infrastructure actions linked to its operation.

The main action corresponds to the second phase of the Salero street project, Habaneras Auditorium and complete Varadero, drafted by Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos, SLP. This intervention includes the complete execution of the Auditorium, the urbanization of Salero street and the actions planned in the Varadero, as well as the adaptation of the spaces associated with the operation of the complex.

The second project involves the installation of a 20 kV double-circuit underground medium-voltage line, intended to guarantee the electricity supply to the new facilities.

The third project involves the construction of an independent automated 20 kV outdoor switching center, which is part of the electrical infrastructure necessary for the operation of the complex.

Finally, the fourth project includes the updating of the drinking water supply network and the rainwater drainage system in the area of the Sea Museum and the Habaneras Auditorium.

These three complementary projects, drafted by INURBE Ingeniería, SL, are part of the same contract, so the action will be carried out in a comprehensive manner, including the facilities and infrastructure necessary for its complete completion and commissioning.

IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD OF 24 MONTHS

The Technical Specifications establish a general execution period of 24 months, which will begin to be counted from the signing of the verification report of the layout of the works.

Within this general timeframe are integrated the different complementary actions, which have their own execution deadlines and must be coordinated with the development of the main works.

Furthermore, the offer submitted by Continental Obras y Mantenimiento, SL includes an improvement consisting of extending the warranty period by an additional 45 months, which will be added to the one-year warranty initially required in the contract, reaching a total period of 57 months.

NEXT STEPS FOR AWARDING

The Procurement Board has unanimously approved the proposed award to Continental Obras y Mantenimiento, SL, in accordance with the technical evaluation report. As a next step, the selected company must submit the documentation required in the tender specifications and provide a final guarantee of €398,758.05, corresponding to 5% of the bid amount, excluding VAT, within ten business days of receiving the corresponding request.

Once the legally established administrative procedures have been completed, the file may continue until the final award and subsequent formalization of the contract, prior to the start of the works.
