Pangea Integra: a space to discover, find your way around and become part of Torrevieja

The initiative will take place every Tuesday in October and will include practical sessions, a cultural visit to the city, and a meeting to share experiences.

The Department of Social Welfare, through the Pangea Office for Attention to Migrant People, launches “Pangea Integra” , an initiative aimed at migrant people residing in Torrevieja that aims to facilitate their reception, guidance and active participation in the life of the municipality.

During the month of October , every Tuesday a practical session will be held in which participants will be able to learn about the available resources, get closer to the social and cultural reality of Torrevieja, discover the city and share their own migration experiences .

Pangea Integra was created as a space for meeting, learning and participation designed so that migrants can get to know Torrevieja better, find their way around the municipality and discover different ways to be part of the life of the city .

The sessions will be practical and participatory, combining information, activities, knowledge of the environment, and spaces for dialogue among the participants.

The program will take place over four Tuesdays, and each session will address a different theme:

First session: Discover the resources of Torrevieja

The first session will be dedicated to presenting the main services, resources and care spaces available in the municipality that may be of interest to migrants.

Practical information will be provided to facilitate access to different resources and services, answer questions, and learn about existing guidance and support channels.

During this session, the Integration Guide prepared by the Pangea Office will also be presented , a practical resource that brings together information of interest on services, resources and procedures and that facilitates knowledge of the municipality and access to different resources.

Second session: Life in Torrevieja

The second session will focus on learning about life in Torrevieja , introducing participants to the customs, traditions and cultural aspects that are part of the municipality's identity.

It will also be an opportunity to learn about the different ways to participate in city life , from activities and spaces for coexistence to associations, community initiatives and other possibilities for participation.

The aim will be to promote not only knowledge of Torrevieja, but also the creation of links and a sense of belonging to the community.

Third session: Discover Torrevieja

The third day will take place outside the usual session space with a cultural visit to the city.

Participants will be able to experience firsthand different representative places and spaces of Torrevieja and learn about its history, heritage, culture and traditions.

The visit will allow you to discover the city from a close and practical perspective, highlighting those elements that are part of Torrevieja's identity.

Fourth session: We share our experiences

The program will conclude with a session dedicated to meeting and exchanging migration experiences .

It will be a space to share experiences, reflect on the process of adapting to a new city, learn about different stories, and generate dialogue between people with diverse experiences and backgrounds.

The day will also serve as the closing of the program and will include the presentation of diplomas of participation in Pangea Integra to the people who have been part of the sessions.

Pangea Integra aims to be a welcoming space where participants can ask questions, share experiences, discover new resources, and connect with others who are part of the diverse community of Torrevieja .

The initiative seeks to promote knowledge of the municipality and enable migrants to develop greater autonomy, access available resources, and discover different opportunities to participate in the community.

Furthermore, the sessions will allow for the identification of situations requiring more personalized attention. When a specific need is identified or an individual requests support, the Pangea Office can schedule an appointment to offer more targeted guidance, as outlined in the initiative's operating procedures.

Who is it aimed at?

Pangea Integra is aimed at migrants residing in Torrevieja , regardless of how long they have been living in the municipality and their administrative status, following the program's approach.
