Torrevieja promoted the integration of its international residents through learning Spanish.

The Torrevieja City Council carried out the Spanish Courses for International Residents , an initiative aimed at facilitating language learning and promoting the integration of the international population into the daily life of the municipality, and which was developed through the Be Magic Academy .

The courses were held during the months of October 2025 and January 2026 and had the participation of 180 residents of different nationalities ( Russian, Estonian, American, Ukrainian, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, Moroccan, French, Icelandic, Filipino, German, Iranian, Serbian, Italian, Brazilian, British, Nigerian, Norwegian, Lithuanian, Kyrgyz, Bulgarian, Israeli, Danish, Senegalese, Hungarian, Kazakh, etc. ), with 200 hours of training per course .

During the classes, different levels of Spanish proficiency were addressed through practical activities related to everyday situations, such as shopping, healthcare services, administrative procedures, and social interactions. Activities were also conducted focusing on Spanish culture and customs, as well as the area around Torrevieja.

The initiative improved the participants' language skills, fostered their autonomy, and promoted coexistence among international residents of different nationalities.

This activity was made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Alicante Provincial Council , within the framework of the Grant to Municipalities and entities of a territorial scope lower than the municipality (EATIM) of the Province of Alicante for programs and activities in the field of International Residents, year 2026 , with a contribution of 1,999.76 euros .
