GRANTS TO NON-PROFIT ENTITIES, IN THE FIELD OF SOCIAL ACTION, FOR PROJECTS CARRIED OUT IN THE YEAR 2026

The purpose of this public call is to regulate the granting of subsidies, under a competitive bidding system, to support the development of social action programs carried out by non-profit entities in the Municipality of Torrevieja in the year 2026, in any of its aspects, preventive, assistance, promotional or rehabilitative, in the areas of action contemplated in base III.

The aim is to enhance and diversify social resources in the municipality, providing an effective response to social demands.

The specific terms of the call for proposals essentially follow the same approach as the previous year. Specifically, section IV states that “the grant award procedure referred to in this call for proposals will be based on competitive bidding (...)”, without prejudice to the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 55.1 of the General Subsidies Regulations (RLGS). The applications submitted under this call for proposals will be prioritized, if necessary, in accordance with the evaluation criteria set out in section XIII. The maximum grant to be awarded per project and entity is €90,000, as stated in section VII, and the budget allocated to finance the grants provided for in this call for proposals is up to a maximum of €800,000 (section V). Furthermore, section XV establishes the possibility for entities to request advance payment of the grant (up to 65%), without the need to provide guarantees for this purpose.

The NEW FEATURE for this year is found in the justification phase, specifically for projects subsidized with an amount equal to or greater than €60,000. In these cases, the association or entity responsible for the program of activities must submit, electronically through the Torrevieja City Council's Electronic Office, a supporting statement with an auditor's report , pursuant to Article 74 of Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the Regulations of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies . The expenses derived from the audit of the supporting statement for the subsidy granted to the entity are eligible expenses up to a limit of ten percent (10%) of the total project cost .

The application period will be fifteen working days , starting from the date it opens. This period will open the day after the publication of the summary of this call for applications in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante.

The call for applications is still pending publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante . Its publication is expected next week.
