On June 8, 9 and 10, the university entrance exams will be held for the first time in the Torrevieja auditorium

More than 450 students from 6 educational centers in Torrevieja (Colegio La Purísima, IES Las Lagunas, IES Nº1 Libertas, IES Mare Nostrum, IES Mediterráneo and IES Torrevigía), IES Les Dunes de Guardamar del Segura, IES Los Alcores de San Miguel de Salinas , IES Remedios Muñoz de Los Montesinos and IES Thiar del Pilar de la Horadada will meet in Torrevieja for the university entrance exams. For the first time in history Torrevieja will host these exams, with Court 10 being designated by the Miguel Hernández University of Elche. In previous editions, with the exception of last year due to the pandemic, students from Torrevieja and the rest of the municipalities had to travel to the Desamparados de Orihuela campus to take these tests.

Recuero has indicated that “an organizational, logistical and strategic deployment has been prepared so that everything works in accordance with the next days". In the preparation of this device, the Local Police, Civil Protection, Civil Guard, cleaning services, staff of the Torrevieja Auditorium, those responsible for the IES, as well as the UMH staff have worked, together with the Torrevieja City Council, especially members of the Department of Education, Security and Emergencies.

The schedule of the tests will be from 09:30 to 13:15, and from 15:30 to 19:45. In the auditorium, four meeting points have been established, where those responsible for the educational centers will meet, who will be in charge of collecting and delivering all the students' documentation to the court before 8:45 am. Each student will receive an accreditation, along with stickers for the completion of the tests. When accessing the exams, students must present their DNI or equivalent document, and a copy of the SIP card (a novelty compared to previous years).

All the exams will be held in the auditorium hall, where four entrances have been established, that is, four areas for conducting the tests.

• Block A (accessed through entrance A in yellow): IES Les Dunes (Guardamar del Segura), IES Mediterráneo (Torrevieja) and IES Remedios Muñoz (Los Montesinos)
• Block B (accessed through entrance B in blue): IES Las Lagunas (Torrevieja), and IES Los Alcores (San Miguel de Salinas)
• Block C (accessed through entrance C in red): Colegio La Purísima (Torrevieja), and IES Torrevigía (Torrevieja)
• Block D (accessed through entrance D in green): IES Nº1 Libertas (Torrevieja), IES Mare Nostrum (Torrevieja) and IES Thiar (Pilar de la Horadada)

The accesses to the bathrooms have been enabled in two points, and they will only be accessible before the exams, since they will not be accessible during the course of the tests. Access to the bathrooms will be through auxiliary entrances 1 and 2 enabled for this purpose. The Auditorium will keep the cafeteria open for students and teachers.

The assembly device, which will begin on Monday, is carried out by the company Institución Ferial Alicantina (IFA) through a minor contract. The facilities will be equipped with signage to indicate at all times to the students the entry and exit points and the available accesses to the toilets. Schools and students already have all this information.

To carry out the tests, a bus service with 5 collection points is made available to all students, in which an attempt has been made to cover the entire municipality. The points are: Eras de la Sal Interchange, La Veleta (bus stop), Los Balcones (pharmacy), IES Torrevigía and in La Mata (Calle Mayor bus stop). The departure time will be at 08:00 and 15:00, and the return time will be at 13:30 and 20:00. All students will be able to access this service by presenting their educational center card and proof of enrollment from the EBAU.
