Yesterday, Monday, July 5, the BONOCONSUMO purchase tickets were sold out, an initiative promoted by the Torrevieja City Council in collaboration with APYMECO to encourage purchases in all productive sectors of the town, especially in commerce and hospitality.

A campaign that has been widely accepted and that is reviving the local economy. In just two weeks, from June 18 to July 5, residents and tourists have acquired all the tickets of 10 and 20 euros that were put on sale through this campaign, which means that the 500,000 euros invested by the Torrevieja City Council, with a real impact of 1,000,000 euros, have already been bought by citizens.

It is worth highlighting the increase in sales since June 18 in the 200 shops and hospitality establishments of Torrevieja adhering to this pioneering campaign in the Valencian Community, which has exceeded all the expectations set by both the City Council and the Association of Small and Medium Merchants of Torrevieja (APYMECO).

Of the 500,000 euros contributed by the City Council (one million euros in circulation) to date, a total of 199,335 euros (398,670 of real impact) have been exchanged (spent) in the establishments of the city, which is 39.8 % of the total of the bonds acquired. Therefore, 601,330 euros (61.2%) remain to be exchanged, which may be spent in the 200 establishments that are part of the campaign until next September 30.

The Councilor for Economic Development and Dynamization of Productive Sectors of the Torrevieja City Council, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, has valued this initiative very positively and has reported that the administrative procedures have already begun so that in the last quarter of this year it can be carried out carried out a new BONOCONSUMO campaign in our city, with a municipal investment of 500,000 euros.

Rosario Martínez recalled that the vouchers have a value of 10 and 20 euros, of which the client contributes half the amount, that is, 5 and 10 euros, and the remaining amount is directly contributed by the Torrevieja City Council to the establishments adhered to the bell. That is, each buyer has a 50% discount on purchases or drinks, each person being able to purchase a maximum of 100 euros per ID. The consumer receives the vouchers purchased in pdf format to print at home, or receives them on their mobile.
