The Councilor for Sports of the Torrevieja City Council, Diana Box Alonso, reports that on July 2 the bases of the Scholarships for Local Athletes were approved, annuity 2021, for an amount of 73,000 euros, which represents an increase compared to the season 22% pass.
As in previous years, the Torrevieja City Council, through the Department of Sports, financially helps athletes who have obtained significant sporting results at the regional, national and international levels by defraying a part of the expenses that competitive sport requires them to pay. put up with.
The bases of the call have been published in the BDNS and in the coming days they will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), with which from that moment the application submission period will begin and applicants will have 10 business days to process your request through the Electronic Office of the City Council, at the Town Hall Registry office (PROP) or by any of the procedures established in art. 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
The most significant changes compared to previous years are:
-It has gone from an economic endowment of 60,000 euros to 73,000 euros.
-Adaptation of the assessment criteria between Olympic and non-Olympic sports, and modified some scoring requirements.
-The achievements obtained as second classified in regional championships have been included in the children's category (until now in this category only the first classified was scored).
-Athletes concentrated in high-performance centers will be able to access this sports subsidy for the first time.
-The bases continue to be adapted in order to favor athletes from Torrevieja who are obtaining such great results.
