THE MUNICIPAL INSTITUTE OF CULTURE RETURNS THE QUICK PAINTING CONTEST AFTER SIX YEARS WITHOUT CELEBRATING

TORREVIEJA (06-10-2021). The Municipal Institute of Culture "Joaquín Chapaprieta" announces that the Rapid Painting Contest "Ciudad de Torrevieja" will be held again, this time, in its XXIII edition.

The Councilor for Culture, Antonio Quesada, reports that after 6 years without being held, the contest is resumed incorporating certain new features, such as that there will be a section dedicated to children, with the theme of "Nature in Torrevieja", or a change in the theme of the contest for adults and young people, in this twenty-third edition oriented towards "Torrevieja and its customs", for which the cultural elements characteristic of our city and its emblematic places will take center stage in the execution of the works.

The contest will be endowed with a total of 6,800 euros in prizes and will take place on October 16, for children, and on October 23, for youth and adults.

To finish off this contest, an exhibition with the participating works will be organized in the Exhibition Hall of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center in two periods: From October 18 to 21 for the children's contest and from October 26 to November 7 for the contest of Adults.

RULES: XXIII CITY OF TORREVIEJA QUICK PAINTING CONTEST

KIDS BASES
- All children up to 12 years of age can participate and must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
- The technique to be used will be free. The theme, NATURE IN TORREVIEJA .
- All participants will present themselves at the Laguna de la Mata, specifically at the Interpretation Center of the Natural Park, between 10:00 and 10:30 on Saturday, October 16, to register, by submitting the pre-registration form or filling in one there in case of not having carried out telematics.
- The works must be carried out outdoors, anywhere in the Parque de la Laguna de La Mata.
- A specialized jury will select the finalists and award a diploma and a gift voucher for painting materials to the winners with the following prizes:
1st prize of primary 50.
2nd Primary Prize 50.
Prize 3º of primary 50.
Prize 4th of primary 50.
5th grade prize 50.
6th Primary Prize 50.

YOUTH AND ADULTS BASES

- The technique to be used will be free. The subject, TORREVIEJA AND ITS CUSTOMS . With the topic we refer to traditional uses and customs for our city as well as emblematic places.
- All participants will appear in the Exhibition Hall of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, with the chosen support, between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, to register and seal the surface to paint.
They can register from the electronic headquarters of the "Joaquín Chapaprieta" Municipal Institute of Culture. The form must be completed and printed, which will be delivered to the organizers of the contest.
- The works must be carried out outdoors, anywhere in the municipal area.
- A specialized jury will select the finalists and award the following prizes:
First prize 3,000.
Second prize 2,000.
Third prize 1000.
500 local artist award.
