2026 MUNICIPAL EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM "TORREVIEJA OCUPA-T"
The Torrevieja City Council has approved the regulatory framework for the 2026 Municipal Employment Program “Torrevieja Ocupa-T”, an initiative aimed at promoting employability through the temporary hiring of 27 unemployed people for various municipal services.
The program includes contracts of up to twelve months duration, full-time of 35 hours per week, through the modalities of "contract for the improvement of employability and labor market integration" and "training contract to acquire an appropriate professional practice".
The positions offered include administrative assistants, orderlies, construction workers, lawyers, social workers, microcomputer systems technicians, network analysts, and business consultants.
Unemployed people registered as job seekers at Espai Labora Torrevieja on the date of publication of the call and who meet the requirements established in the rules may participate in this call.
For contracts aimed at improving employability and facilitating employment, applicants must be at least 30 years old. For apprenticeship contracts, applicants must be under 30 years old and also meet the specific requirements stipulated in labor legislation for this type of contract.
Likewise, it will be mandatory to have the qualification required for each position advertised and to maintain all the requirements both on the date of publication of the call for applications and at the time of formalization of the contract.
The application period will be ten working days, starting the day after the publication of the call for applications in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante. Applications may be submitted preferably electronically through the municipal website or in person at the Town Hall's General Registry.
The City Council especially reminds everyone that each person may only apply for one place .
The required documentation will include, among other documents, the signed standardized application, identification document, DARDE, LABORA registration certificate and the qualification required for the position.
Furthermore, it is important to expressly emphasize that all supporting documentation of merits must necessarily be submitted along with the application and within the established submission period .
In this regard, the rules clearly state that merits that have not been documented within the application period will not be considered, and that the subsequent submission of supporting documentation will not be accepted, except to correct formal defects in documentation already submitted within the deadline.
Among the merits that can be taken into account are professional experience, additional training, knowledge of Valencian and community languages, unemployment without benefits, long-term unemployment, functional diversity, situation or risk of social exclusion, being over 45 years of age and single-parent or single-mother families.
The selection process will be conducted through a competition with a semi-structured interview, and the maximum total score will be 27 points.
