Municipal Summer School 2022

The Summer School will take place from July 1 to August 31 at the Salvador Ruso, Gratiniano Baches and Acequión schools

The Councilor for Social Welfare of the Torrevieja City Council, Tomás Ballester, informs that the Municipal Summer School 2022 will take place from July 1 to August 31 at the CEIP Salvador Ruso, CEIP Gratiniano Baches and CEIP Acequión educational centers, for all children who in the 2021/2022 academic year have been enrolled in Early Childhood or Primary Education, registered in Torrevieja or whose father/mother/guardian is registered in the municipality.

A total of 315 places for leisure and sports activities and 270 dining places have been offered. The registration period begins tomorrow, Thursday, May 19, until June 6 (or until places are filled), and must be done through the Electronic Headquarters ( www.torrevieja.es ) or at the Registry Office (PROP ) by appointment.

The Summer School will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the start time for the “Early Birds” service is at 8:30 a.m. for parents who start their working hours before 9:00 a.m. and departure for the dining room service at 3:30 p.m. You can choose the monthly or fortnightly option, and you must notify it at the time of registration (both for the month of July and the month of August). Those families whose income is equal to or less than the monthly IPREM set at €564.90/per capita during the months of March, April and May may apply for a subsidized place, with prices remaining at €50 for the full month and €25 for the fortnight, with the right to breakfast + activity + food, that is, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For those families that use the municipal Social Services, they will be able to carry out the activity free of charge, following a technical assessment of each request and provided that they meet the economic requirements established in the current regulations.

For those children who are in foster care, with the corresponding resolution of the competent body, said activity will be carried out free of charge, regardless of the economic income of the foster family.

RATIOS

The ratios will be: with children up to 6 years old; 1 monitor for every 12 children.

With children from 7 years old; 1 monitor for every 17 children.

OBJECTIVES

  • Provide the participants with resources to occupy their free time in an active, critical and constructive way.
  • Respond to family needs in times of school break, facilitating a space where the participants relate to others from their immediate environment.
  • Encourage the investigation and curiosity of the boy and girl, through their active participation in all the proposed techniques and activities.
  • Use an attractive theme for the participants

The schedule is as follows:

  • 8:30 Conciliation Space (optional and according to improvement)
  • 9:00 Welcome of the participants – Assembly
  • 9:30- 1st Activity: setting, great sports game, tales, stories, body expression, dance, traditional and intercultural games...
  • 10:30 Lunch
  • 11:00- 2nd Activity: crafts and recycling workshop, cooperative games, theater workshop, music workshop, song workshop in different languages,…
  • 12:00 water games and refreshments
  • 13:15- 3rd Activity: relaxation techniques, board games, chess, storytelling.
  • 1:50 p.m. Collection and preparation for departure or to enter the DINING ROOM at 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Extra activities: 1 outing-excursion to Parque Lo Albentosa or Parque de las Naciones or Municipal Swimming Pool, every month.

Spring School and Urban Camp "Spring with Music"

The Department of Social Welfare of the City Council of Torrevieja is going to launch the Spring School project, which will take place in the facilities of the educational centers Salvador Ruso and Gratiniano Baches, from Tuesday 19 to Friday 22 April, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m.

The Spring School offers a service aimed at all children, without any exclusion. It is a project that arises to respond to the need to care for and care for children during their school vacations, where they also enjoy the opportunity to share a playful and educational space with other children. In addition, it tries to facilitate the reconciliation of family and work life for parents during their children's vacations.

Parents will have the peace and security of a reference center, an educational program and a conscientiously chosen staff with experience and great responsibility who will work with their children with enthusiasm and full dedication. For all these reasons, the Spring School is an essential resource for children and their families.

This experience, aimed at children from three to twelve years old, will have groups that will be made up by educational stage and, in turn, by courses or cycles with an average of ten children per group.

The Spring School is a free activity limited to a maximum capacity of 300 places (150 in each school). Information and registration at the Department of Social Welfare or by Electronic Office.

URBAN CAMP FROM APRIL 19 TO 22

Likewise, also from April 19 to 22, the Youth Information and Animation Center (CIAJ) will host an urban camp for young people aged 12 to 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Among the activities to be carried out, Flashmob recording, music, music therapy and decomposition of songs with an equality perspective, improvisation, etc. stand out.
