THE ALICANTINE FEDERATION OF MOORS AND CHRISTIANS CELEBRATES IN TORREVIEJA ITS DAY OF COEXISTENCE OF STANDARDS AND CAPTAINS ON OCTOBER 23 AND 24

On October 23, at 6:30 p.m., a parade will take place with all the groups of the Federation with the flag bearers and captaincies

The Councilor for Festivities of the Torrevieja City Council, Concha Sala, together with the president of the Alicante Federation of Moors and Christians, Juan de Dios Bermúdez, and the Secretary of Protocol of the Federation, María del Carmen Albertus, have presented this morning the days of coexistence of flag bearers and captains of the Alicante Federation of Moors and Christians, which will take place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October.

The day of coexistence will have 40 flag bearers and captains of the three neighborhoods of the city of Alicante that are within the Federation, with 100 people who will participate in the parade that will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 23 October, and which will depart from the Torrevieja City Hall to the Palacio de la Música, being the following route: Puerta del Ayuntamiento, Calle Ramón Gallud, Calle Concepción, Paseo de Vista Alegre (by asphalt), Calle Joaquín Chapaprieta, ending at the door of the Palace of Music.

The troupes will be accompanied by the local musical band Ciudad de Torrevieja "Los Saleroso", who will offer the festive concert at the Palacio de la Música at 7:30 p.m., after the parade. Among the pieces that the band will perform, is the pasodoble of the 25th anniversary of the Alicante Federation of Moors and Christians . The Councilor for Festivities, Concha Sala, thanked the federation for having counted on Torrevieja for the celebration of this event " where the city of Torrevieja will enjoy the parades of Moors and Christians ."

The events of the day will begin at 12:00 hours on Saturday, October 23, with the reception at the Torrevieja Town Hall of the comparsas and subsequent visit to the Immaculate Conception parish. During Sunday, October 24, the flag bearers and captains will visit the city center and the Museum of the Sea and Salt. The day will come to an end with a visit to the Torrevieja Salt Flats.

This day of coexistence is among the acts that the Alicante Federation of Moors and Christians is carrying out for the celebration of its 25th anniversary.
