The Councilor for Education of the Torrevieja City Council, Ricardo Recuero, the president of Rotary Club Torrevieja, Luis Andreu; The representative of the Humanitarian Foundation of Spanish Rotarians, Ricardo Molina, and the deputy manager of AGAMED, Gemma Cruz, have presented this morning the second call for the Comedor Scholarships for children in the city who have not been able to have access to scholarships granted by the Ministry of Education of the Generalitat.

This project of collaboration and social action that began last year, aims that no student in Torrevieja is left without eating; For this, ROTARY CLUB, AGAMED, LA CAIXA FOUNDATION, MLS and various anonymous individuals have put all their financial and solidarity effort to serve each and every one of the students proposed by the educational centers.

Recuero has reported that in the previous call, a total of 7,488 snacks and 3,241 daily menus were distributed to 70 boys and girls throughout the school year. A project that intends to have continuity over the next few years, with the firm commitment of being able to attend to all those requests that are made by educational centers. The total investment of the Comedor Scholarships amounted to about 27,000 euros.
