The councilor for NGOs and Volunteering of the Torrevieja City Council, Concha Sala, the president of APANEE, María José Sánchez and the president of ALPE, Heidi Aznar, have presented this morning the activities programmed on the occasion of the International Week of the People with Disabilities, which is commemorated on December 3. The activities begin tomorrow, Saturday, November 27, until next December 5.

The president of APANEE, María José Sánchez, and the president of ALPE, Heidi Aznar, thanked the Torrevieja City Council for supporting both associations and “their commitment to making people with different abilities visible. This is the third consecutive year that we have launched, in collaboration with the city council, activities to make visible and commemorate a date that is so important to us ”, were the words of the president of APANEE.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27

DRAGON BOAT COMPETITION AND HANDMADE CHRISTMAS MARKET. Throughout the morning the ALPE educational center will participate in the Dragon-Boat adapted rowing competition while the occupational center will participate in an artisan Christmas market at the “La Food Truck” establishment.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 28

III MOTORCYCLE LUNCH CITY OF TORREVIEJA FOR THE BENEFIT OF APANEE. The third moto-lunch rally will take place in the Antonio Soria park by the “Dorsal Zero” brotherhood. Starting at 09:30 am, the tour of the city will begin, the day will feature concerts, DJs, barbecue, paella, bouncy castles, stands, etc ...

SOLIDARITY PAELLA FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALPE. Starting at 12:00 hours, the solidarity paella will begin in the J. Mullins cafeteria for the benefit of Alpe.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 29

AWARENESS AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON THE GOOD USE OF

PLACES RESERVED FOR PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY. From the Department of Security and Emergencies together with the Department of Commerce, an awareness campaign with infographics will be launched in different places reserved for reduced mobility, in different locations, to raise awareness and awareness about the proper use of them.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30

INAUGURATION OF THE EXHIBITION DRAWING CONTEST IN THE CULTURAL SOCIETY CASINO DE TORREVIEJA. In collaboration with the Department of Education, a drawing contest will be held with all educational centers in the city, bringing the vision of their inclusion and integration closer to schoolchildren, through drawing. The jury will be made up of 4 representatives of the ALPE and APANEE associations who will determine the winning drawings. The awards ceremony will be held on December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

DIVERSE KITCHEN WORKSHOP WITH THE COLLABORATION OF CHEF ALBERTO VILLAR AND PANADERIA - PASTELERÍA LAS ROCAS. Starting at 6:00 p.m., the children of APANEE become familiar with the food. This activity will enhance their culinary skills as well as work on their motor skills when cutting, kneading, grinding and mixing food while stimulating their senses of taste and smell.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1

PRESENTATION "I HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER WITH FUNCTIONAL DIVERSITY, AND NOW WHAT?". It will be at 11.00 am at the "Virgen del Carmen" Cultural Center and will be taught by Cuorecare. This presentation will deal with services, resources and guidance through the Dependency Law on the promotion of personal autonomy and care for people in a situation of dependency.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2

INCLUSIVE CHARAMITA. For the first time, the group of giants and big heads will wait for children with functional diversity in Plaza Miguel Hernández, to accompany them to the official starting point. This activity will take place from 6:45 p.m.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3

INTERNATIONAL DISABILITY DAY. The users of the ALPE occupational center will participate in a forum cinema day where they will enjoy the screening of “Wonder”. Throughout the morning a mural will be installed in the Plaza de la Constitución made by children with functional diversity.

At 6:00 p.m. the raising of the flag will take place in the Plaza de la Constitución, with the release of balloons and the flight of pigeons. In addition, the prizes will be awarded to the winners in the drawing contest of the educational centers.
