Last Friday, January 21, a meeting of the Salt Eras Advisory Commission was held, chaired by the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, in which the architecture firm PAREDES PEDROSA was presented to said group. ARQUITECTOS, SLP, office that has been proposed as the successful bidder for the Project, construction management and health and safety coordination of the Museo del Mar, a Multipurpose Enclosure with the main purpose of holding the International Habaneras Contest, as well as its complementary infrastructures and urbanization area, for an award amount of 660,660 euros.

Said provisional awardee, once the contract preparation procedures are formalized, will have a period of two months to present the study of alternatives, made up of three possible constructive solutions that contemplate landscape, spatial and urban integration, with an initial budget foreseen in the total of the intervention of 7.7 million euros.

The reason for the meeting was to share various aspects related to the intervention project in the Eras de la Sal and the creation of the new Museo del Mar y la Sal, especially all those related to the history, culture, idiosyncrasy and characteristics specialties of this unique space.

Likewise, the working day was completed with a visit to the historic site of the Eras de la Sal, where it was possible to see first-hand the progress of the work to enhance the value of the ancient remains and the characterization of the elements that made up the distribution of this emblematic place. It was hand in hand with the archeology team that is carrying out the research work, where the elements found in the historic environment were exposed to the members of the commission and the architecture cabinet.
