On March 1, the ceramic, yoga and dance workshops for the elderly begin

These activities, which help maintain the quality of life of our elders, will take place at the Municipal Leisure Center, the San Pascual Senior Citizens' Home and the La Mata Multipurpose Social Center

The councilor for Elderly People, Inmaculada Montesinos, together with the deputy manager of AGAMED, a mixed company for the management of the Integral Water Cycle, Gemma Cruz, presented the three workshops that will be held under the sponsorship of AGAMED this morning. they are included within the agreement established with the City Council of Torrevieja.

The objective of these workshops is the health and well-being of people and to make communities more friendly and sustainable linked to the sustainable development goals established by the UN for the year 2030.

These workshops will take place at the Municipal Leisure Center, at the San Pascual Home for the Elderly, and at the La Mata Multipurpose Center, with the participation of 220 people.

The activities that will take place are:

  • Ceramic Workshop. It will be taught at the San Pascual Home for the Third Age on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The course will have a total duration of 84 hours and will take place between March 1 and May 20. The 108 hours of total duration of the workshop will be distributed in 36 training sessions of 3 hours duration.

  • Yoga Workshop. It will take place at the San Pascual Home for the Third Age on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The workshop will have a total duration of 48 hours and will be held from March 1 to May 31, distributed in 24 training sessions of 2 hours each.
  • Dance Workshop. It will be held at the Municipal Leisure Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and on Fridays at the La Mata Multipurpose Social Center from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The workshop will last 84 hours and will take place between March 1 and May 20, distributed in 36 training sessions of 2 hours.

Finally, the inscriptions have to be formalized in the Department of Elderly People, located in Calle Maldonado, nº 5.
