The Councilor for the Elderly of the City Council of Torrevieja, Inmaculada Montesinos, has announced this morning that this coming Friday, May 27, the period for submitting applications will be opened to opt for aid for the Third Age (Aid for single payment to a vulnerable group due to age and with limited economic resources), ending the term on June 23 of this year.

Each beneficiary of the aid may receive a maximum of 400 euros, counting a budget item of 534,092.50 euros.

The application model for obtaining the aid regulated in this call and the information and documentation of the same is available on the municipal website of the Torrevieja City Council, and access to the electronic headquarters has been enabled to formulate the request.

Inmaculada Montesinos has announced that the City Council will enable, starting Thursday, May 26, a special service for people who are going to request them and obtain all the information and documentation at the San Pascual Senior Citizens' Home, No. 117, during business hours. from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., until the last day of the term, June 23.

The purpose of the call presented here is to grant aid to the elderly and pensioners with incomes not exceeding 1.5 of the Public Indicator of Income for Multiple Effects (IPREM), in order to cover the loss of purchasing power, as well as generating a better quality of life for this group and completing the municipal policy of attention to the group of the Third Age.

Beneficiaries must meet the following requirements:

A.- Be a recipient of a pension for Retirement or Widowhood or Orphanhood, and over 60 years of age at the time of submitting the application; or be over 60 years of age, and be legally separated or divorced, receiving a compensatory pension, therefore lacking other income of their own.

B .- Appear in the Municipal Register of Inhabitants and be registered in it for a minimum of 2 uninterrupted years immediately prior to the date of submission of the application.

C.- The applicant does not receive economic income greater than 1.5 times the Public Indicator of Income for Multiple Effects in force in 2019 (in 14 monthly payments).

In addition to the income from your pension, other income from work, interest on movable capital or assimilated to them that is compatible with receiving a pension will be counted. However, if the income or income is not greater than 1.5 times the IPREM (in 14 monthly payments) and you live with relatives, the requirement will only be met when the sum of the annual income or income of all the members of your unit economic coexistence are less than that amount.

Economic unit of cohabitation is understood as when the applicant lives with other people united by marriage or by blood or adoption ties up to the second degree, that is, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren and siblings of the applicant.

D .- Have a maximum of one habitual residence and a parking space or premises with a maximum of 20 m2. Both urban or rural real estate that is available in full ownership and those that are available in usufruct or bare ownership will be computed.

F.- Be up to date with your obligations with the AEAT, Social Security, as well as with the tax obligations of this City Council.

G .- Not be a debtor by resolution of origin of reimbursement of subsidies. Only one applicant will be granted within each single economic coexistence.
