The Councilor for Education of the City Council of Torrevieja, Ricardo Recuero, the Councilor for Culture, Antonio Quesada, together with the president of Ars Aetheria, Mamen Mateo and the director of the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, José Francisco Sánchez, presented on the morning of today the "Family Concert", which will take place next Saturday, June 11 at the Torrevieja Auditorium, at 12:00.

It is an initiative of the Department of Education together with the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra to bring classical music and movies closer to the youngest. “We want music not to remain as a mere curricular subject, but rather for children to enjoy it and find it fun”, Ricardo Recuero highlighted.

This Family Concert has children as its main protagonist, who will have the opportunity to go on stage and play the instruments together with the musicians of the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra (OST). In the words of the orchestra's director, José Francisco Sánchez, “this concert opens a door to the OST. We had yet to bring music closer to the little ones, and with this collaboration we will make it possible”.

The works that will be performed are designed for the audience, opening the concert with the "Symphony of toys", by L. Mozart and Edmund Angeres. Works by L. Anderson will be performed, such as "The typewriter", "Plink, plank, plunk!", the polka of Francisco Garres's "Bandido" or Mozart's concerto for horn or watering can. Pieces that will bring classical music closer to the little ones, but we will also interpret soundtracks from such well-known films as Star Wars or Jurassic Park closer to the public that will accompany us”, José Francisco Sánchez highlighted.
